What's happening at the Colfax Branch Library
for the week of November 01, 2012

Photographer Aaron Cowan visits the Colfax Library on Thursday, November 1 at 7 p.m. as part of Meet the Artist. Cowen’s work can be viewed in the foyer of the Colfax Library or online at www.aaroncowanphotos.com.

International Games Day comes to the Colfax Library on Saturday, November 3 from 2-4 p.m. Invite your friends and family members for a day of games suitable for all ages.

Programs for young children continue each Thursday in the Colfax Library. Baby Time at 10:10 a.m., Toddler Time at 10:30 a.m. and Preschool Time at 11 a.m. Playgroup takes place each Friday from 10-11:30 a.m. for all young children and those who care for them.

Physical therapist, Robyn Tramposch, in partnership with Whitman Hospital, helps residents avoid joint aches and pains through simple postural changes and exercise on Wednesday, November 7 at 6 p.m. in the Colfax Library and Saturday, November 10 at 2 p.m. in the Rosalia Library.

Renowned author Jim Lynch comes to the Colfax Library on Monday, November 12 as part of Everybody Reads. Attendees can bring a lunch, pre-order lunch from the library or just come to listen. Contact the library at 397-4366 for more details or to order lunch.

Lots of activities are scheduled in November including Spanish Storytime for children, a presentation on the “Battle of To-Hots-Nim-Me” from Mahlon Kriebel, Yoga, Latin Fitness, Dance classes and more. For a complete listing including library closures visit the library's events calendar.

Come view the Whitman Sampler’s beautiful quilt hanging in the library foyer. Raffle tickets are just $1.00 with a number of important community charities benefiting from the proceeds.

Art and decorator items have been added to the Friends of the Library book sale with all sales benefiting the Community Enrichment Center. The Colfax Arts Council donated the items that were left over from their popular pre-loved art sale during Hullabaloo.
