What's happening at the Colfax Branch Library
for the week of October 11, 2012

Learn how to download e-books and audio books from OverDrive on Monday, October 15 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the Colfax Library. Participants are encouraged to bring in their electronic devices with cables and personal laptops. For more information, please contact Cindy or Andrea at (509) 397-4366.

The League of Women Voters of Pullman presents a voter forum on Tuesday, October 16 from 7-9 p.m. in the Colfax Library. Meet and question the candidates for County Commissioner and learn more about Washington initiatives and referendums. For questions about the forum, please contact Diane Smerdon at (509) 334-5413.

Kids in grades 5 and 6 are invited to Art and Music with Lego Robotics by the Palouse Discovery Science Center on Wednesday, October 17 from 3:45-5 p.m. in the Colfax Library. Please note class size is limited. To register, call Sheri or Nichole at (509) 397-4366.

Program for young children continue each Thursday in the Colfax Library. Baby Time at 10:10 a.m., Toddler Time at 10:30 a.m. and Preschool Time at 11 a.m. Playgroup takes place each Friday from 10-11:30 a.m. for all young children and those who care for them.

Ancient creatures come to life at the Colfax Library on Thursday, October 18 at 3:30 p.m. Join acclaimed children’s nonfiction writer Kelly Milner Halls for an afternoon of delightful dinosaur discovery. This program is open to all students and home school kids grades 1-4. Due to our special guest, the library encourages all family members to attend.

Families throughout Whitman County are invited to a Pumpkin Party to celebrate fall on Tuesday, October 23 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the Colfax Library. Festivities include games, crafts and a free miniature pumpkin sponsored by the Friends of Whitman County Library.
