What's happening at the Colfax Branch Library

Local quilters from the Whitman Samplers will open the seventh season of Meet the Artist on Thursday, October 4 at 7 p.m. Join Charlie Hochsprung, Judy Imler and others are they share their tricks and secrets for creating amazing quilts. Celebrate Colfax Hullabaloo at the library on October 5-6 with hours expanded to 7 p.m. on Friday and 9-5 on Saturday. The library will host a quilt show; a Wii Tournament; Slinky the Clown, children’s author Marcy Campbell a book sale and more. A new session of Flex and Flow Yoga begins on Tuesday, October 9 at 5:30 p.m. and runs through the end of November. Classes are $10 each or $35 for the session. To register, contact Suzy McNeilly at (509) 397-4709.
Teens are invited to a Teen Craft Day at the Colfax Library on Wednesday, October 10 beginning at 3 p.m. Come learn the art of Bottle Cap Jewelry with Teen Librarian Chelsea Leachman. Be inspired by your favorite book, movie or music to create necklaces, bracelets or key chains.
Programs for young children continue each Thursday in the Colfax Library. Baby Time at 10:10 a.m., Toddler Time at 10:30 a.m. and Preschool Time at 11 a.m. Playgroup takes place each Friday from 10-11:30 a.m. for all young children and those who care for them.
Kids in grades 5 and 6 are invited to Art and Music with Lego Robotics by the Palouse Discovery Science Center on Wednesday, October 17 from 3:45-5 p.m. in the Colfax Library. Please note class size is limited. To register, call Sheri or Nichole at (509) 397-4366.
