Tech Help

Whitman County Library can help with your technology needs from basic computer skills and job search to social media and digital resources. This month visit one of these scheduled programs to get your questions answered.

Tech Monday comes to the St John Branch on Monday, February 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Enjoy a cup of coffee and receive individual help with your device, setup social media, download e-books, create an email account or explore Microsoft Imagine Academy online classes.

A Downloadable Open House hosted by the Endicott Branch on Tuesday, Feb 13 at from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Learn how you can access Washington Anytime Library and over 30,000 e-books and audiobooks with the new free one-tap reading app Libby. Bring your device and the library’s staff will set you up and teach you the process.

Tech Storytime comes to the Colfax Branch on Tuesday, February 13 at 10 a.m. as part of Tech Tuesday lineup. Parents, caregivers and their little ones will enjoy interactive reading highlighting Overdrive’s Read-Along e-books, fun new songs and more. Afterwards you’ll explore interactive STEAM play stations.

Jim Kusznir, of Colfax Computer and Phone, presents Making Technology Work for Your Business on Tuesday, Feb 27 at 6 p.m. in the Colfax Branch. Kusznir’s presentation highlights the Internet (WiFi and networking), phones (VoIP, phone systems, and call centers) and helps you match technology to your business needs. This class will continue on March 6 by covering cloud services, merchant accounts, multi-site and remote worker configurations.

Drop in Tech Help continues at the Colfax Branch on February 20 from 2-4 p.m. where you’ll get hands on help with Microsoft Imagine Academy, basic computer skills, Internet, email and more. Additional drop-in Tech Help is available the first and last Saturday of each month from 2-4 p.m.
