Tax Incentive Workshops

B&O Tax Incentive Open House workshops

Would you like your Business and Occupation (B&O) taxes to stay in Colfax where they can directly benefit our own community? Attend a workshop sponsored by the Colfax Downtown Association to learn how. The next workshop is set for Tuesday, February 12 at three convenient times, 7-9 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 4-7 p.m. at The Center at Colfax Library. This is an open house format so business owners can stop in any time during the posted hours.

Because Colfax Downtown Association is part of the Main Street program, Colfax businesses are eligible for a tax credit worth 75% of the contribution for your 2020 taxes. Application is made to the Department of Revenue and once approved, the business owners select Colfax Downtown Association for their donation.

Pledges are being accepted through March 31, 2019. Participants then have until November of 2019 to pay their pledge and receive the tax credit for 2020. Businesses are also eligible for a charitable giving tax deduction in 2019 because the Downtown Association is a 501c3 organization.

The final workshop will be held on Wednesday, March 20 from 7-9a.m., 11:30-1:30 p.m. and 4-7 p.m. at The Center. For more information or to see step by step instructions go to: or contact Val Gregory, Colfax Unified Director at 509-279-1220.
