Inspired Palouse, Palouse Plein Air Competition and Exhibit

Inspired Palouse, a Plein-Air inspired art competition is now showing at Libey Gallery at The Center at Colfax Library. The show is Perkins House by Nancy Rothwellcomprised of 38 spectacular pieces in a variety of media including oils, photographs, collage and textile that were inspired by the great outdoors from locations within a 75 mile radius of Colfax.

Sponsored by the Colfax Arts Council, the submissions were judged for inclusion in the exhibit. The artwork will then be juried for 1st-3rd place winner, while the public is encouraged to vote for “The People’s Choice” award winner. Voting continues through November 17 in the Gallery with $500 in prizes being awarded.

Inspired Palouse culminates on Saturday, November 17 from 5-7 p.m. with a public reception and award ceremony at 6 p.m. Punch, coffee, and refreshments will be served along with a no-host bar with wine and beer.

The Inspired Palouse exhibit and public voting runs through Nov. 17 at Libey Gallery, The Center at Colfax Library, 102 S. Main, Colfax. Exhibit hours are Mon-Weds, 10-8, Thurs-Fri, 10-6, Sat-Sun 1-5.
