New Library collection addresses Opioid Crisis

The Federal Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and the Opioid Crisis reports approximately 142 Americans are dying every day from the current Opioid crises with America enduring a death toll equal to September 11th every three weeks. A surge in Whitman County drug related deaths and arrests indicate that our region is not immune.

In response, Whitman County Library announces the addition of 69 titles to the OverDrive eBook and audio book collection. Called “Dealing with Addiction,” the titles were donated by Overdrive and are featured on the main page of their catalog.

You can also access the Overdrive collection from the library’s website at Whitman County Library website .

If you need assistance, contact your local branch library or call the library at 509-397-4366 or toll-free at 877-733-3375.
