Meet the Artist features Briánna Reynolds, April 4 at 7 p.m.

Colfax artist Briánna Reynolds is the featured guest for Meet the Artist on Thursday, April 4 at 7 p.m. in the Norma McGregor Community Room of the Colfax Library. During this free event, Reynolds will share her artwork and the influences that have shaped and inspired her.

At an early age, Reynolds’ parents noticed she was drawing at a level beyond her years. Nurturing her with lessons and encouragement, her talent continued to grow. Today, Reynolds studies under highly accomplished bookmaker and artist Tim Ely, who has boosted her creativity while exploring new mediums and techniques. Reynolds says, “Tim is teaching me of the power within imagination and that art has very few limitations when imagination and creativity are involved.”

Brianna Reynolds in China

Reynolds loves painting living creatures, especially horses and elephants. She also credits a recent trip to China for influencing her artwork. While there, she was fascinated by the culture and learned a lot about color, patterns and texture. Reynolds says, “I’ve seen a real change in my work since returning from China.”
