Cybersecurity Essentials for Work and Home

In today’s increasingly networked world, how can we keep ourselves and our information safe and secure? Michael J. McCully addresses these concerns in a presentation titled “Cybersecurity Essentials for Work and Home” on Thursday, August 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the Uniontown Library and Thursday, August 17 at 6 p.m. at the Rosalia Library During the presentation, McCully will provide practical advice that everyone needs to know including identity theft and phishing defenses, preventing Malware, common Web attacks, safely browsing the Internet, making secure purchases, recognizing an exploited computer, securing social media, hacking yourself first and more. McCully is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and Information Systems Security Officer at National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA.)
