The Barns of Whitman County 2018 calendars are now on sale and feature the amazing photography of Palouse area residents. The calendars are available for just $8 at any branch of Whitman County Library, Tick Klock Drug and Rosauers in Colfax, and the Pullman Chamber of Commerce. You can also have the calendars mailed to you for an additional $4 postage fee by calling the library at 509-397-4366. The calendars have sold out every year so residents are encouraged to buy them quickly. Proceeds from calendar sales benefit Friends of the Library programs and projects in all 14 branches.

Over the past 8 years, Steve Van Vleet from WSU’s Regional Extension Specialist has donated his photographs and production of the calendars as a way of giving back to the community. Last year Steve ran short on time so a plea went out asking the community to submit photos. That calendar sold out so quickly that Steve decided to ask for submissions again this year.

This year, images included in the calendar were donated by Cindy Glorfield, Steven Watson, Ken Carper Ron Pardekooper, Mike and Charity Reisenauer, Nita Robinson, E. Spencer Rocket, Virgil Hanson, Otto D. Stevens, and Susan Roberts. Steve and the library express their sincere appreciation to all who entered.
