All 14 branches of Whitman County Library are closed 
                        Sunday and Monday, February 17 and 18 for 
                        President's Day. Due dates for library materials have been 
                        extended in anticipation of the closure and no late 
                        fines will be charged for these days. Drop boxes will 
                        remain open at all locations for returned items.
Kids grades 1-4 are invited to the Colfax Library Thurs., Feb. 21,3:30-4:30 pm for STEM learning with Hot Wheels™!  Explore energy, force, and motion while playing with cars.
Map of my Kingdom, a play commissioned by Practical Farmers of Iowa and written by Iowa’s Poet Laureate Mary Swander, tackles the critical issue of land transition.  It looks at the human challenges of transitioning the farm business – from beginning the conversation to the power struggles along the way – and explains how to avoid conflict and choose peaceful, rational solutions that focus on the viability of the family, and the land. February 28, 7:00 - 8:00 pm at the Colfax Library.
Get that library fine off your chest and do a good deed at the same time. It’s Food for Fines time at Whitman County Library. The nineteenth annual Food for Fines drive begins Friday, Feb.1, and continues through Thursday, Feb. 28, at all 14 library branches.
